Anchored in Ethiopia. Building across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Opian's vision is decision quality at scale across the continent. We're building country by country, starting with deep deployment in Ethiopia, then expanding through Phase 1 and Phase 2 markets.

How we enter a country
Expansion is a method, not a map. Every entry follows the same four moves, refined in Ethiopia.
Enter with the ministry
The ministry is the client, from day one. Entry is typically donor-funded — with a planned transition to government licensing as the system proves its value.
Start deliberately small
A single district or facility group first — proving value in months, not years — then regional rollout, then national scale. Ethiopia's planned pilot was 15 facilities.
Configure, don't rebuild
A country-configuration layer adapts programme definitions, commodity catalogues, and supply chain levels — and, for Link, local treatment guidelines and formularies — without forking the platform.
One relationship, two systems
A country running ForLab+ for its national supply chain is a natural candidate for Link at the facility level — and vice versa. One ministry relationship carries both.
